Lara Logan
Lara Logan (born 29 March 1971) is an South African television and radio journalist and war reporter. She was a correspondent for CBS News between 2002 and 2018.60 Minutes executive producer Jeff Fager called her factually wrong and politcally biased story about the 2012 Benghazi attack "the worst mistake on my 10-year-watch." In 2019, she was hired by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which is a conservative-leaning media firm. [4] In January 2020, she joined Fox Nation, a subscription streaming service run by Fox News. She stated that she was "dumped by the network" in March 2022. Logan worked as an assistant news reporter for Durban's Sunday Tribune (1988-1989) and the Daily News (1990-1992). In 1992, she joined Reuters Television in Africa, primarily as a senior producer. After four years then, she switched to freelance journalism. Assignments included a reporter/editor/producer with ITN, Fox/SKY News in London, CBS News, ABC News in London, NBC, NBC and European Broadcasting Union. Reporting on news events like the 1998 bombings of the United States Embassy in Nairobi and Tanzania, conflicts within Northern Ireland and the Kosovo war, she was employed by CNN.
